It's all about spam
In this day and age, spam is a huge problem on the Internet. You as an everyday user will know just how annoying unsolicited emails are, so that's why here at Speed we're doing our bit.
What is the question for?
By asking the user a simple mathematical question that is hidden in an image, commonly used "spambots" by professional spammers cannot use our system to send unsolicited email.
It is extremely rare that a spambot can identify textual information within a graphic. In fact, it's nearly impossible. So this means that only human users can answer the question correctly.
